Board of Directors

Message from the Temple President, Jessica Hinkle

"I am very proud to be serving as Temple Shalom's President.  I am a working mom with three girls - Josie (10), Paige (8) and Marlow (5) and a wonderful husband Paul who, although he is not Jewish, has been incredibly supportive and engaged in our community.

Looking ahead, I am excited for us to introduce new programming options and online communication that will bring TSSB to you - both in your homes and in your inboxes. Being a part of TSSB is more than attending services or religious school in a physical building. It's part of our everyday identity and one that our children wear proudly up to and beyond their B'nai Mitzvahs."

Jessica grew up in New York City but has called the South Bay home since 2002.  She lives in Hermosa Beach with her husband Paul and their three young daughters. Jessica is a Divisional Vice President in the Online Education division of Laureate Education, Inc.  She began attending TSSB for High Holiday services in 2008 and then brought her family to Tot Shabbat and they were hooked.  Two of her three children have attended religious school since Kindergarten and the youngest can't stand leaving her sisters at drop-off because she wants to go too.
